Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Short version: We value your privacy. Quiz and test answers are processed locally in your browser. We use anonymous analytics to improve our tools, and display Google Ads to support site operations.

1. Who We Are

reflexbench (operating at reflexbench.com) provides free cognitive performance tests including reaction time, memory, attention, and motor skills. We are an independent project. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

2. What We Collect

We collect the minimum information needed to operate the service:

  • Test and Drill Responses: Processed entirely locally in your browser. Your individual click timings, answers, and trials are never stored on our servers unless you explicitly share a score to Challenge Mode.
  • Local Storage: Your history, streaks, and settings are saved locally on your device in your browser's localStorage.
  • Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to collect anonymous aggregated usage data (page views, device type, approximate country-level location). This data cannot be linked back to you personally.
  • Technical Logs: Standard web server logs including IP addresses and user agents, retained for security and DDoS mitigation.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To compute instant percentiles and display your results in your browser
  • To maintain anonymous global benchmark percentiles across all tests
  • To analyze general site stability and improve user experience
  • To prevent malicious abuse or automated bot attacks

4. Third-Party Advertising & Cookies

We partner with third-party advertising companies, including Google, to serve non-intrusive ads that keep this platform free for all users worldwide.

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on reflexbench.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve relevant ads based on visits to reflexbench and other websites.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising anytime by visiting Google Ads Settings or YourAdChoices.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and localStorage solely for site preferences (dark/light theme, accessibility settings, streak tracking) and anonymous traffic metrics. You can clear cookies or localStorage anytime in your browser settings.

6. Disclaimer

reflexbench provides cognitive performance tests for informational and self-benchmarking purposes only. Results do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical evaluation.
