Know your brain.
Test your limits.
reflexbench is a free suite of cognitive performance tests covering reaction time, memory, attention, speed, and more, with no sign-up required.
Why We Built This
Cognitive performance testing has long been used in research labs and clinical settings. We wanted to make these tests accessible to everyone by providing them in a beautifully designed, free to use, and private format.
reflexbench features 40 tests across categories like reaction speed, working memory, attention, processing speed, and motor skills. Each test is based on established paradigms from cognitive science research.
Our Principles
Research-inspired
Every drill is modeled on established cognitive science and motor paradigms.
Privacy-first
All test data stays in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Sustainable model
Supported by non-intrusive ads to keep resources free for everyone.
Benchmark percentiles
Results are compared against research models and community attempts so you know where you stand.
What We Test
Our 40 tests span seven core cognitive and physical performance categories:
Speed & Reaction
How fast does your brain respond? Measure raw visual reaction latency, processing rate, and choice discrimination.
Aim & Precision
Benchmark FPS mouse mechanics, crosshair stabilization, ballistic flick accuracy, and dynamic target switching.
Tactical & Combat
Engage in high-intensity 3D combat drills, frame-perfect parry deflection, QTE execution, and stressful defusal scenarios.
Motor & Mechanics
Measure raw keystroke velocity, key indexing, Actions Per Minute (APM), and multi-directional keyboard agility.
Memory & Recall
Test your capacity to retain and reconstruct visual patterns, digit spans, word lists, and spatial sequences.
Focus & Executive
Can you stay vigilant and suppress incorrect impulses? Benchmark sustained attention, Stroop interference, and task switching.
Perception & Logic
Challenge spatial mental rotation, subtle color discrimination, blind time estimation, and strategic decision-making.
How Scores Work
Each test evaluates your performance using calibrated distribution models derived from cognitive science literature alongside ReflexBench community benchmarks. Your percentile reflects how your score compares against recorded attempts, factoring in real-world hardware latency.
Published Research Baselines
Drill paradigms and reference distribution curves are derived from peer-reviewed cognitive psychology and psychomotor literature.
ReflexBench Community Standings
Percentiles and leaderboard standings reflect real-world browser performances across thousands of completed community sessions.
ReflexBench drills are designed exclusively for self-benchmarking, skill training, and competitive gaming analysis. They do not constitute a medical, psychiatric, or neurological evaluation or diagnosis.
